About Helkat

It has to be one of the hardest requests to be asked to write about yourself.  I’ve sat in front of a white screen and blank page in my book for a few days now unsure what to write.  I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one having writers block when it comes to writing about yourself.

So, here we go:

I am 30 years old, married with no children as yet and loving life!  I love new projects and experiences including: food – cooking especially, wine, art (both modern and classic), holiday destinations undiscovered by myself, different cultures, shopping, fashion and all pretty things girls love with out being too terribly girlie myself.  The best way to describe “really girlie” is the movie “Legally Blonde”.  Yeah, that ain’t me!

When it comes to life I’m a little kid in a sweet shop, amazed and in awe of the paths life can lead you down.  My friends are my anchor, they keep me in check, keep me loved, valued, humble and continually a student of life.  I love them all dearly.

So really, I am your average girl next door who loves to discover new things, loves personal  recommendations by others and has somewhat of a nack of doing the very same.  I have been told on numerous occasions that I should be writing a blog.  What me?  The girl who got average scores in English, who spells like a teenager, and who was humiliated during class by her pathetic attempt in reading her section of the specified curriculum novel?  Yep, ME!………So here I am, giving it a go.  I hope it inspires you to do the same.

Life is messy and I love it.  To try to put some clarity in amongst the craziness, I am writing about my personal recommendations to help you discover more in this busy metropolis.  Whether you are a student, teenager, business woman, mother or like me, “the girl next door”, I hope this helps you to do life well.
